We all know that Transformers are rated in kVA, Generator and Alternator rated in kVA as well. Designers do not know the actual consumer power factor while manufacturing transformers and generators i.e. the P.F (Power factor) of Transformer and Generator/Alternator depends on the nature of connected loads either resistive load, capacitive load, or inductive load as Motors. All these are the apparent power where the power factor is defendant of the connected load.
