what is the basic working principle of I/P and Positioner in
any control valve.
Answer Posted / devji kanjaria
Their are so many i/p technilogy come in view. like some i/p conveter works on flapper nozzele system but some i/p works on spool valve force balance system.
When we are looking for positioner function then we see soo many venders comes with different type of technology. But the basic principal remain same behind their product. Because all are using same micro-cantroler based smart positioner. They get feedback from position sensor that is connected to the steam of CV and the micro-controller calculate the output air Pr. after checking current Pr.and current command from dcs then generate the command and give to the output signal pressure unit. This process will adjust the steam position.
