What happens if we give ac supply to dc shunt and series
motors individually
Answer Posted / ganika
shunt motor won't rotate because alternating field developed in the both field and armature and peak voltage is more so takes more current and fuse blow out, due to over current.
series motor rotate as repulsion motor with over current and commutation, but the core are not laminated, so it produce more heat.
