Can we create a report in cognos BI without a Package? i.e.
without framework manager? If so how? I have been asked this
question twice..i think this feature is available in cognos
10 version..not very sure....Could anybody highlight?

Yes, we can create report without using FM Package.
Use SQL override -Go to Query Explorer -On left Topside -SQL override-Drag it and go to properties (Bottom Left) -select the source and set Native SQL/Passthrough SQL (Dont use IBM Cognos Sql).
SQL Override is not prefered method( we are missing minimised SQL concept).
