You cant calibrate an actuator, you can just do setting.(
setting means better performance and more accurate ).
But calibration is the process of measuring the actual
performance of an instrument-under-test using lab
instruments ( or we can do this in the field ) that in
turn have significantly better performance than the
instrument-under-test. The measured performance is then
compared to published data sheet specifications. If observe
the instrument to be out-of-specification, instrument must
adjust and re-test .( for example we can do calibration for
a thermocouple or pressure transmitter )
