PVT Test in dissolution test means performance verification test which is also known as apparatus suitability test
Frequency of this test is once in six months.
This can be done by using prednisone USP Tablet 10 mg /tablet
for disintegrating type of tablets.
Current lot for this tablet is O0C056.
For Type 1 Apparatus
Dissolution medium :900 ml water
Temp :37°C
RPM :50
%dissolved :53-77%(O0C056)
Time :30mins
For Type 2 Apparatus
Dissolution medium :900ml water
Temp :37°C
RPM :50
%dissolved :27-48%(O0C056)
Time :30mins
Readings r taken at 242 nm
Std concentration 20 mg /ml of prednisone USP
Salicylic Acid Tablets are used for non disintegrating type of tablets
