In the test for control of absorbance in UV calibration why
do we use only potassium dichromate and what is purpose of
taking a specified amount of 57.0-63.0mg?
Answer Posted / kishor solanke (alkem)
In UV specrophotometer calibration during control of
absorbance paramater the K2Cr2O7 is taken 60mg±3mg because
the resulting solution gives the absorbance between 0.2 to
0.9 units which is the high performance & optimum range for
UV spectrophotometer.
