pH is a measure of the hydrogen ion concentration or it is
activity of hydrogen ions ,the word pH is latin word which
means Potentia Hydrogenii meaning potential of hydrogen
ions and activity inturn refers to apparent concentration
of hydrogen (H+) ions
so pH=- log (H+)
