The accumulator is an 8 bit ragister associated withthe ALU.
Theragister'A'in the 8085is an accumulator.It is used to
hold one of the operands of an airthmatic and logic
operation.It serves as one input to the ALU.The final
result of airthmatic and logic operation is placed in the
accumulator. There is one typical instruction DADrp,for16
bit addition for which one of the 16-bit operandsis kept in
H-L pairand the other in B-C and D-E pair
