neutral point is that point which gives a reply path to current to flow...
but earth point is that point which gives a such path to current from where it can't returns back...
in other words u can say that earth makes waste of harmful current...

in my industry we are using 3 step up transformers for induction heaters..i.e 415/580v and other are 11/440v.in power consumption does a step trnsformer makes any difference compared to step up?? plz explain
