A 100W bulb and 60 bulb both rated at 220V are connected in
series across 220V supply. If 60W bulb is removed and only
100W bulb remains in the circuit, will illumination increase
or decrease?

Answer Posted / ammad

Decrease.... Because the illumination is now being done
only by 100w bulb. If 60W bulb would have been connected
then the net power would have been 160W. Since now, the
power output is reduced to 100W this means that the
illumination would decrease....
