LOD is nothing but Loss on Drying at below it's melting
point, which could be water or organic solvents or any
volatile matter. Whereas Moisture content is, presence of
water in molecule.
The basic differnce is M/C will give information about the
Water content. LOD will provide information about the
volatile matter (including water) present in the molecule
at give temperatue.
