hi !

We can assign n number of shipping points to a plant .

The customer master is maintained by the account group. So
as per the business requirement which partner procedure you
have assigned to the account group with the partner
functions.
It allow to maintain those partners in Customer master. But
there are 4 mandatory partner function ( SP, SH, BP, PY)
and rest are optional and u can add as per the requirement.
