what is the difference between item category and item
catalog can you please give examples for both

Answer Posted / 12341234

Item Category defines the category of item in inventory.
Eg -
1) a transistor can be a part of product category
Electronic Material.
2) wheat grain can be part of product cateory Food item.

Item Catalog is used in iProcurement. Its a list of items
(may not belong to same class like Electonic material, Food
item). Same catalog can have both items in it (as per eg
above)
