1. pwer distri
operational near full load charachs near no load
structural mostly delta delta delta star(neutral grounded).
2 .skewing is done on rotor to prevent magnetic locking btween rotor and stator also done to reduce noise and harmonics
3 4 6 .can be found on net
5. trays, direct burial in ground, trenches etc(next question followed on why petrochems dont use direct burial in ground tech-ans chemicals eat away insulation)
7.v proportional 4.44 phi f n
v n f only variables rest constant
if change v alone to higher value,to maintain constant flux f changes to lower value so ratio v/f is changed n not alone v or f
8.10^-6 to 10^-8 torr used mostly inremote area due to practically low maintain and high reliable
last question was important

I have a drawing of a wound rotor induction motor for a crane. This crane motor has 5 forward speeds & 5 reverse speed implemented of course with different amount of resistance for each speed setting selected. What has got me scratching around is the fact that 8 of the 10 speed selections switch in uneven (unbalanced) amounts of resistances on each of the 3 connections to the motor's rotor. Can this be possible? I would have assumed this would produce unbalanced rotor currents and therefore vibration in the motor. I would greatly appreciate anyone's comments on this. Many thanks, Confused.
