it is that image which cannot be obtained on a screen

In a real image the image lies in front of the mirror

In a virtual image the image lies behind the mirror

In a real image the rays meet at the focal point in front of the mirror

In a virtual image the rays appear to meet behind the mirrorat an imaginary focal point
