2 vessels A and B contain spirit and water in the ratio of
5:2 and 7:6 respectively .find the ratio in which these
mixtures be mixed 2 obtain a new mixture in the vessel
containg spirit and water in the ratio 8:5
Answer Posted / mackdeeps
Let us Consider
First Vessel A Contains 5ml:2ml
second Vessel B Contains 7ml:6ml
when we add these two we get 12ml:8ml (i.e) 3:2
If we consider that 3 is 12ml then 8 is how much?
8*12/3 = 32 we get
same way
If we consider that 2 is 8ml then 5 is how much?
5*8/2 = 20 we get
So the new mixture is 32:20 to get ratio 8:5
