when peter is as old as paul that is, before (p-pa) years peter's age will be:p-(p-pa)
at that time paul's age will be y-(p-pa)
it is given that(in the prblm) peter's age was twice this

p=2[p-(p-pa)]-------(Eq 2]
solving both equations 1 and 2 we get
