I need your help ,I am a fresher in SAP HR just few days
back I faced my first interview .I was asked very simple
questioned which I answer to the panel , but failed to
impress them as they were looking for the exact definition
of the following terms ,
1 :Personal area- Personal subarea
2: Cost centre:
3: Employees group –subgroup
4: Pay scale type- wage type
5:Applicant group –Applicant sub group
6:Info group
7: Difference between Simple maintenance & details
maintenance

1. Personnel Area-it represents specific area of a company
based on OM, PA, PY
personnel subarea-it is a sub division of personnel area
that contains business characteristics like payscale and
wagetype, planned working time etc.
2. Costcentre (k)-it is a place where we maintain funds
like payments, collections etc.bt it is configured in FICO.
3. Employee group-Defines employee status like active,
retiree, early retiree etc
Employee subgroup-Defines employment status like salaried,
Industrial worker etc
4. Payscale type-define the sector of industry like
metal,chemical etc
Wagetypes- Payments and deductions are called wagetypes.
6. Infogroup-set if infotypes that are processed for a
particular personal action.
