Subnetting is defined as dividing a network into different
networks.for example class c range of ip address is
192.168.10.0 now this network is divided into 0 to 255
times into overall of 256 networks as below :
192.168.10.0;192.168.10.1;192.168.10.3;192.168.10.4.........
............................................................
............................................................
.......................................192.168.10.255 and
this concept is known as subnetting.In simple words
dividing a network in to different networks is called as
subnetting.
