Why is the RBC called as a cell even though it dont have all
the characteristic features of a complete cell?

The rbc is generated by erythropoiesis , in the early
stages of rbc it contains the nucleus and other cell
organals but when the cell is matured the nucleus and other
cell organels like mitochondria will be disapeared.This
results in the disable of rbc to replicate.Do to lack of
mitochondria the rbc donot produce any ATP.It also enables
much more oxygen transfer rate.
