what are all the procedures i have to follow while patching
a machine which has root mirroring ( SVM ).

Well patching is a planned task so the task is pre-scheduled
before patching collect some outputs like df
-k,prtconf,vfstab,/etc/system. Apply the patch on OS using
patchadd command it effects current OS disk and reboot the
system. Don' forget to break mirror before applying patch
