what is impedance of transformer?
Answer Posted / mahesh-lanco
The percentage impedance of a transformer is the volt drop
on full load due to the winding resistance and leakage
reactance expressed as a percentage of the rated voltage.
The Impedance(between primary Secondary) of the Ideal
Transformer is Infinity. As there is no current conduction
path b/w primary and secondary as the energy conversion is
beacuse of induction only.I.e.,Current Between Primary and
secondary is Zero and Impaedance is Infinity..
It is th question iam faced in My interview.
Hope this may useful for you.
