network layer:in this mainly 2 protocol are working.
1. Routed protocol:it is responsible for select the best
path. i.e depending upon routing protocol what we have
configured.ex:rip,ospf,eigrp.
2.routing protocol:it is responsible for carry the data
from source to distnation with the help of logical address
(IP address)
