Two cars travel in the same direction at 40km/hr at a
regular distance. A car comes in the opposite direction at
60km/hr. It meets each car in a gap of 8 seconds. What is
the distance between the two cars?

Answer Posted / rajesh kumar

Opposite coming car will cross in the speed of (40+60)km/hr
= 100kmhr
i.e = 100/3600km/second;

If it met 8 sec after first car crossed.

So (100/3600) x (8 sec) = 0.25km = 250 meter
