What will happen if oil is mixed with boiler feed water?
Answer Posted / karthick
if oil is mixed with water, oil will form a layer over the
surface of the water this is because the sp.gravity of oil
is lesser than water so it floats over the surface.this
resists the formation of steam to a large extent that is it
doesnot make evaporation of water instead foaming occurs
