what is the effect of power factor on DG supply,i mean to
say what will the effect if we add capactors on dg supply.

The capacitor bank is kept to improve the power factor as most of the industrial load is inductive, hence to get the power factor to close to 0.85 or more the caoacitor bank helps. thus reduing losses.
