Why the generator rating in kva
Answer Posted / srujan
In generators and transformers the maximum possible load is
decided by temperature rise of the machine.
And all of us know the temperature rise is directly
prepotional to Current in machine and which is prepotional
to KVA.
But in the case of motor the possible maximum loading is
depends on the output torque. So its ratyeing is always in
KW.

explain why core loss of a transformer is almost constant under different load conditions when connected across a constant voltage and constant frequency.
Some times to change of DOR of a motor, interchange of R & B is not effected and RYB take same current, but interchange of R&Y is effected ie change the DOR. My doubt is what is the problem in motor and how it is happen.
