What is the basic difference between earthing, ground and
neutral?
Answer Posted / pankaj agarwal
earthing means neutral earthing. it is connecting the
current carrying points in the circuit to earth. this is
done for the purpose of operation of earth fault relays.
grounding means equipment earthing. it is connecting tha
non current carrying parts, like metallic enclosure, to the
earth. this is done for personnel safety.
neutral is a common return path in a multi phase circuit,
generally earthed to provide a reference voltage.
