(b) Basic oxides:- Oxides which dissolve in H2O forming
alkalis or neutralizes acids forming salts
(c)Amphotene oxides:-These have both acidic and basic
properties. They form salts with acids and alkalis
(d)Neutral oxides:- Oxides which are neutral towards litmus
are known as neutral oxides
