Why can?t the meat and dal( pulses ) be cooled well on the
top of high mountains ?

The boiling point of water depends upon the pressure. On the
top of high Mountains, the water boils below 100 o C as the
pressure is less than the atmospheric pressure. Since these
low temperature are not enough to cool meat or dal, they ate
not cooled well
