Fehling's reagent consists of two solutions.
solution A contains 7% CUSO4 and solution B contains 25%KOH
and 35% sodium potassium tartarate.
When the two solutions are mixed in equal amounts a clear
blue solution results for the tartrate forms a soluble
complex with the copperhydroxide produced.this solution is
widely used as an oxidising agent preferably in
quantitative sugar determinations.
