from 9:15 to 5:15= 8hrs
from monday to friday = 5days
he walks for 5 days = 5days*8hrs =40 hrs
including 3hrs(9:00-12:00)= 40+3=43 hrs

lunch time for 6 days taken= 6*.45= 4hrs 30 min

43 hrs-4 hrs 30 min= 38hrs 30 min
