Explain Cloverleaf model of the t-RNA base sequence of
yeast alanine?
Answer Posted / ankitha
This is the twodimensional structure of t-rna propoped by
G.R.PHILIPS.
3'end of rna is made of ACC and a variable fourth
nucleotide.
the aminoacid to be transported to the ribosomes for
photosynthesis attaches to this end.
the clover leaf model is having 3 loops.
first loop is maDE OF 7 UNPAIRED NUCLEOTIDES.
THIS REGION IS INVOLVED IN BINDING WITH RIBOSOMES.
each arm consists of several nucleotides.
second loop consists of 7 unpaired nucleotides and contains
anticodon of 3 nucleotides which binds with codon of m.rna.
third loop contains 8 to 10 unpaired nucleotides.
