Corynebacterium diphtheriae causes diphtheria , the role of
exotoxin in it is it causes locative necrosis and when
absorbed in blood stream it causes toxameia and systemic
complications including paralysis due to demyelinating
peripheral neuriois and cardiac failure due to myocarditis.
