Question { 6248 }

30 kVA and voltage 380/220VAC how to find out kA?

Answer

simon says

30Kva=30,000va

30,000 VA=440V*68.1818 Amp*1 (Pf)

Hense Ka=0.068 Wrong

Simon if you look at the post, the voltage is 380 volt and
not 440 volts as you posted. Also you incorrectly forgot to

use 1.73 when working with 3 phase voltage.

what is Basic Engineering.,FEED and Detail Engineering with
respect to Electrical Engineering.(Explain with Example)

Answer

The Basic Engineering FEED required for proper installation
is to follow the required details of the code that is
required. Engineers find it difficult to do this because
few have been taught the laws of engineering with respect
to Electrical and Detail Engineering. The rules such

As the starting of a dc motor and syn.motor and induction
motor high current flowing through the winding cause the
voltage to reverse polarity. this can cause the windings to
burn out. To avoid this different types of starters are
used. But incase of transformer what Will be used. At
starting no emf is induced in the primary winding.

1. If we apply dc supply to the primary winding of
transformer it will be burnt out. similarly dc supply is
given to field winding of syn. motor and armature winding
of dc motor, they are safe. Remember both windings are
inductive in nature.

Capacitor bank require for 1000amp load

Answer

The need for capacitors is determined by load power factor
and utility billing rates. If you load has a PF of 1.0,
then no capacitors are needed. If the utility does not bill
for low PF, then you may not need capacitors.
