fix release?

Answer

Maintenece releast-we release the enhancements or any
changes whcih are demanded by the client in maintenence
phase.

Hot fix-If the bug is coming in an application and
developer will fix it immedieatly and release it

can u plz give an example for regression testing with example.

Answer

If any changes are requested by the client and incorporated
by the development team released to the testing team we
test the existing functionality is working fine or not.We
ensure that impact of the new changes should not effect on
existing functionality.

Ex:I think all of you know gmail log in page.If gmail
management wants to add "forgot password to mobile" link in
login page and whenever the user clicked that link they
will get password to thier mobile"

If dev team incorparated this new fuctionality, existing
functionality should not be effect. Here existing
functionality like "sign in" "cant access your
account" "stay singed in" and all other functionality
should work as previous. The new change should not impact
on this functionality.

when u involved in uat suppose if u find one defect then do u
intmate it or not

Answer

When we involved in UAT if we find the defect then we
should intimate to the concern development team if they
have time to resolve that defect they can resolve. If they
dont have that much of time that will deliver the build and
that defect status is "KNOW ISSUE". That could be resolve
in next release.
