What is meant by line losses, how do you prevent the losses?

Answer

Line loss means loss due to I2R effect. That is the heating
loss in the transmission line. It is equal to Current
square multiply by resistance of total line.
It can be reduced by reducing the resistance of the line
ie. by increasing the diameter of wire. Or by sending the
same wattage, reduce current and proportionally increase
the voltage.

Answer

Ground and earth are both same. This means connected to
ground ie always remain zero potential. Neutral means tle
lower potential of the supply source with respect to
another potential of the same supply source.

In case of 4 wire transmitter, 2 wire is used to give power
and other 2 wire to transmit the signal. In case of 2 wire
transmitter, the 2 wire carries the power as well as the
signal. Example- 4to 20 mA is flowing through the 2 wire
and according to level the current is changing.
