Question { Blue Star, 93304 }

write the test cases for date month and year field by using
testing techniques

Answer

Hi Sharmila

what u said is the test case for how many years a human
being can live?

if date of birth is considerd as
date filed, then one should not be in a position to enter
date less than 100 years as the life span of man does not
cross 100 years in this generation.

But According to the above test case, it indicates Th e
minimum age of human being is 100 years.

Question { Accenture, 17172 }

build 1 bug is raised and it was closed by developer and
build 2 is released in build 2 also same bug raised what is
the satus of that bug.

1>reopen 2>open 3>new 4>defered

Answer

Hi all

Question itself wrong.because no developer will close the
bug. once developer accepts the bug then rectify the bug,
and then he will change the status as "fixed" instead of
closed as said in the question.

So Tester will verify in the next build

if it works fine --> make bug as verified or closed.
if it not works --> the tester will reopen the bug.

Question { 7998 }

What is difference between smoke testing and sanity testing?
In simplest manner...

Answer

Hi

Smoke Testing - Once new build is submitted to testers for
testing, testers usually perform smoke test on new build in
order to verify if build is acceptable for further testing.
In smoke testing, you are not bothered about functionality
but things like none of the links are broken, no page is
displaying Error-404 (web based application) and
application is in stable state.

Sanity Testing - Once Testing team is done with their all
levels of testing and ready to submit the application for
production, testers usually perform sanity tests before
submitting application to production. In sanity testing you
perform full testing to ensure that nothing has been left
out. Sanity check is done taking into consideration all
functional, integration and regression test cases.
