My business Visa has been rejected last year in March 08.Now I wish to travel to Au on urgent: may I apply for Tourist Visa: whether the Tourist Visa can be obtained easily? If not what to do?

If a man followed his wife to either of these places, (she gets over there and has her visa and is working) is it possible for him to go there and also be eligible to work? Or can he only have a visiting visa for family?

Is Police Checking Done for getting visa confirmation as that done when we have applied for passport?? If police checking doesnot include personal interview by police officals, then how is police clearance done for getting visa.......... Please reply soon if any one knows
