hello friend australian rules are too strict after 1 sept.
2008 if u want to get australian Pr then u will have to live
in australia for 2 year b4 getting ur PR and after it u will
have to get 7 band in ielts GENERAL

It depends on your category.If you apply for skilled migrant
visa then nownwards it requires min 6 Band in each module
and if basis on engineering level then 7 Ban in each module.

I would like to apply for PR under Skilled Migration Visa for Australia am I eligible or not. What's the required band score individually required for applicability. I got 6.5 overall Band Score in Ielts Exam. L-6.5, R-5.5, w-7, S-6.5. I had done B.E. Mechanical Engineering in 2006. Currently i am working as Industrial Engineer at a Limited Company. Is Police Checking Done for getting visa confirmation as that done when we have applied for passport?? If police checking doesnot include personal interview by police officals, then how is police clearance done for getting visa.......... Please reply soon if any one knows

I have following bands in IELTS (Speaking: 7.5, listening:6.5,Reading:6.5, writing:5.5)... Overall Band Score is 6.5/9.0. Am I eligible to apply PR for Australia and my test score is gonna expire by 9th August'10. I have a concern that I scored only 5.5 in writing can I still apply for the PR.
