Diabetes mellitus is caused due to the deficiency of
insulin and diabetes insipidus is caused due to the
deficiency of vasopressin secreted by pituitary gland.

1.Diabetes mellitus is due to insulin deficiency or, abnormal functioning of insulin receptor.it leads to increased blood glucose level.
2. Diabetes insipidus is caused by ADH deficiency, which helps in reabsorption of water from tubules of kidney.
