What is cart and chaid?
Answer / Shruti Mishra
In data analysis, CHAID (Chi-squared Automatic Interaction Detection) is a decision tree algorithm used for categorical data analysis. It splits the population into homogeneous groups based on the chi-square statistical test of independence. CART (Classification and Regression Trees) is another decision tree algorithm that can handle both numerical and categorical data. It constructs a model by recursively partitioning the predictor space.
