Explain radio immuno assay?
Answer / Prashant Sirohi
Radioimmunoassay (RIA) is a laboratory technique used to measure the amount of a specific antigen or hormone in a sample. In this method, the sample is mixed with a known amount of radiolabeled antibody specific for that antigen. The mixture is then separated and the radioactivity associated with the antigen is measured using a scintillation counter. The amount of radioactivity indicates the amount of antigen present in the sample.
