Explain radial immuno diffusion method?
Answer / Priyanka Verma
Radial Immunodiffusion is an immunological technique used for quantifying antigens or antibodies in a sample. In this method, a gel containing the antigen (or antibody) is placed between two agar layers of known concentration. A small well is cut into one layer and filled with a test solution containing the substance to be measured (antibody or antigen). As the substance diffuses outwards in the gel, it reacts with its counterpart, forming a precipitate at the point where both concentrations are equal. The size of the precipitin ring indicates the concentration of the substance in the test solution.
