What causes antigen-antibody reactions?

What causes antigen-antibody reactions?..

Answer / Ashok Ram

Antigen-antibody reactions occur when an antigen (foreign substance) enters the body and is recognized as foreign by the immune system. The immune system responds by producing antibodies, proteins that are specific to the antigen. When an antigen encounters its corresponding antibody, they bind together, resulting in various immune responses such as activation of complement system or phagocytosis.
