Strong AI, also known as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), refers to a system that has the ability to understand or learn any intellectual task that a human being can. It can flexibly adapt to new situations and environments. Weak AI, on the other hand, is designed to perform specific tasks, such as facial recognition, voice assistants, game playing, etc., but cannot demonstrate general intelligence beyond its designed scope.
