The Loader class in ActionScript 3.0 is a display object that loads SWF, JPEG, PNG, GIF, or any other URL-accessible content into the specified DisplayObject container. The URLLoader class, on the other hand, is a data-centric class that loads binary and text data from remote servers asynchronously.
