Explain the working of compression?
Answer / Anita Choudhary
In Windows, compression is used to reduce the size of files or data on disk, improving storage efficiency and speeding up data transfer. The operating system provides both file-level compression (compressing individual files) and drive-level compression (compression for an entire drive). Compression works by encoding data using algorithms that take advantage of patterns in the data, storing the resulting compressed data more compactly.
