Differences between star and snowflake schemas?
Answer / Leelendra Kumar Gangwar
The main difference between Star Schema and Snowflake Schema lies in their physical data organization. A Star Schema has a central fact table surrounded by dimension tables, all with denormalized relationships (every fact table links to every dimension table). In contrast, a Snowflake Schema extends the Star Schema by normalizing the dimension tables further, creating a more complex schema but improving query performance for specific scenarios.
